On Wednesday, December 13, 2023, Consul of India in the Kurdistan Region Madan Gopal visited UOD and from Dawood Sulaiman Atrushi, President of UOD; Lokman Hadi Hassan, Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education, was welcomed at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences.
In College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, by the presence of Dr. Ziad Mahfooth Abdulkader, Dean of College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, and Director of Communications at UOD, Nazar Ameen Mohammed and a number of teachers and athletes of UOD, yoga under the supervision of famous coach Dr. Joshi was performed by students of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences.
Then the Indian Consul and his delegation visited the Central Library of UOD and were warmly welcomed by the director and staff of the library; Afterwards, Corner of Indian Books was opened in the central library, he expressed his pleasure and thanked the President of UOD for opening the Corner Indian Book in UOD, and expressed his readiness for cooperation and further joint work in the scientific, academic and various fields with the University.
Director of Communications at UOD, Dr. Nazar Ameen Mohammed said: The main purpose of this visit is to strengthen relations between UOD and academic centers, especially universities in India in the scientific and academic field, as well as providing scholarship opportunities for students and teachers of UOD in India.
It is worth mentioning that UOD has been making serious efforts in the past in the field of establishing international relations with international academic institutions, which is due to the plan and strategy of UOD to become a global university Experiences of World Universities.
