Seminar: Materials Science for Architectural Conservation
April 8, 2024, 5:12 p.m.

Objectives or Summary:

Materials science offers an explanation of the different behavior of building materials. The scientific concepts underlying the conservation of porous building materials - such as stone, adobe, brick, and various binders - are presented. Visual models, instead of formulas, are used to explain the mechanisms of deterioration and the theory behind preservation treatments.

Place of the Seminar: Department of Architecture-Seminar’s hall

Date: 20-12-2023
