Title of the Seminar: A New Proposed Model for Dispersion Compensation via

Linear Chirped Fiber Bragg Grating

Objectives or Summary:

- In this seminar, a new model for dispersion compensation utilizing Fiber Bragg

Grating is proposed.

- Fiber Bragg Grating which is a well-known dispersion compensation

component is utilized to propose a new system model for dispersion

compensation in emerging communication systems.

- It has been used with Tanh apodization function to provide a linear Chirped

Fiber Bragg Grating.

- In addition, a low pass Gaussian filter is added to the model to enhance its

performance in terms of Q-factor, BER, and eye-diagram.

- The proposed model showed a superior performance in comparision to the

related works and models.

Place of the Seminar:

Seminar Hall – 3 rd Floor – Electrical and Computer Engineering Department –
