A Delegation from the EU Pays a Visit to the UOD to Learn about APPRAIS and Teachers MOD Projects

An esteemed delegation representing the European Union visited the UOD's Convention Center on February 14 to learn about the projects of APPRAIS and Teachers MOD. The UOD officials, including the Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, The Director of the International Relations, the Coordinators of the projects of APPRAIS and Teachers MOD, and a team member of the project of APPRAIS, on their side, paid them a warm welcome.

The delegates mainly engaged in this visit in order to know the latest updates in the implementation of the two mentioned projects which are supported by ERASMUS+ Programme, knowing that they were: Mr. David Healy, the Head of Political Section and Charge d 'Affairs, EUD Iraq, Mr. Tolkild byg, Head of Office, Eu Liaison Office, Erbil, Ms. Claudia Spinelli, Political Officer, EUD Iraq, Mr. Babara Egger, Head of Cooperation, EUD Iraq, Ms. Shumoos Jabir, Education Programme Manager, EUD Iraq, Mr. Steven De Vriendt, Programme Manager, EUD Iraq, and Mr. Mauro Gioe, Programme Manager, EUD Iraq.

During the significant meeting, the Coordinators of the two projects at the UOD, Dr. Ismail, representing APPRAIS, and Dr. Saeed, representing Teachers MOD, each gave a presentation clarifying the latest updates in implementing the projects and their last outcomes and results to the delegates. The delegates expressed their pleasure for the results the UOD came with so far achieving a remarkable success, and they showed their support for further achievements. Additionally, they recommended to share the expertise the UOD has to other Iraqi universities. The UOD Vice President, on his side, showed its readiness for such initiatives and projects with all educational parties in Iraq.
