On April 29, 2024, a delegation from the University of Duhok, consisting of Dr. Luqman Hadi Hassan, Vice President of the University for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, and Dr. Dildar Haji Musa, Dean of the College of Medicine, and Dr. Muhammad Aziz, Dean of the College of Science, visited University of Sharjah in the UAE, and they were received by the President of the University of Sharjah.

Within the framework of this visit, Dr. Luqman Hadi met with Dr. Youssef Al-Hayek, Vice Chancellor for Academic and Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Sharjah. Also, the Dean of the College of Science, Dr. Muhammad Aziz met with the Dean of the College of Science at the University of Sharjah, Professor Dr. Nawar. Also, Dr. Dildar Haji met with Dr. Qutaiba, Vice Chancellor of the colleges of Medicine and Dean of the Colleges of Medicine at the University of Sharjah.

In these meetings held by the delegation of the University of Duhok, the focus was on the University of Sharjah’s support to the University of Duhok in participating in conducting research and providing scholarship opportunities for the students of the University of Duhok who wish to study abroad. On the other hand, during this visit, the University of Duhok was honored by the President of the University of Sharjah. In addition to that, Dr. Luqman honored the president of the University of Sharjah, for his part as well.

This visit included visits by the university delegation to all departments of the University of Sharjah, its central laboratories, sports arenas, and libraries.

As part of the delegation’s visit to the United Arab Emirates, it also visited Khor Fakkan University and the University of Dubai. It is known that the President of the University of Sharjah, the President of Khor Fakkan University, and the Dean of the Colleges of Medicine at the University of Sharjah are Iraqis.
