The British Consul General in Erbil Mr. Angus Mckee paid a visit to the University of Duhok on the 1st of June 2016. He was received and welcomed by the president of the UoD Prof. Mosleh Duhoky at the University Cultural Center.  The two parties discussed the relation of the UoD with the UK and the relation with the British council in particular. From his side Prof. Duhoky urge the British CG to initiate a British Corner at the university Central Library and to help in having an ILETS exam center at the University of Duhok Campus.

The British CG gave a seminar on the current political situation, the attendees were more the 100 postgraduate students at the UoD. During the seminar Prof. Mosleh Duhoky appreciate the support, help and involvement of the UK government to the Beshmerga in our fight against ISIS and the help that was given to the refugee and displace people in Kurdistan.

The British CG promised to facilitate the engagement of the UoD with the new administration of the British Council and also promised for more visit to the University of Duhok.
