American Corner

On November 17, 2021, to celebrate International Education Week, the American Corner-Duhok hosted Mr. Samir Hashim Muhayadeen, the Vice Dean of the College of Spatial Planning, and a Fulbright Foreign Student Program Alumnus who gained his master degree in Medical Physics from California State University.

In the session, he talked about higher education in the U.S.A. and highlighted what makes the U.S. a desired destination for international undergraduate and graduate students.

During the session, the speaker also talked about the diversity in the U.S., the differences between state vs. private universities, as well as what students need to do in order to obtain admission from a university in the U.S.
