Visit of the German Consulate General at IPP

On today, October 07.10.2020, a delegation from the Consulate General from Erbil visited our Institute of Psychotherapy and Psychotraumatology in Duhok. Consul General Mr. Sven Krauspe was accompanied by Mr. Daniel MacCormack.

The Consul General stressed that he has deliberately visited our institute and wants to express his appreciation and support. I told him about the beginnings of building up our institute with the intention to treat the victims of ISIS, especially the raped women and children of the Yazidi therapeutic. In the end, our graduates will contribute to alleviating the suffering of society as a whole. They gave us further support in the academic field. Mr. Krauspe ensured his participation in the graduation ceremony on August 18.10.2020, 18.10.2020, in person or online.

Mr. Krauspe said that Germany has always provided help to Kurds in different forms. He said that since ISIS acts of violence began, approximately 500 million euros in aid. Duhok received the bulk of this aid as most of the IDPs (Internally Displaced People) from Sinjar, Duhok.

On an official visit to our institute, the Institute for Psychotherapy and Trauma Studies at Dohuk University visited us today, the German Consulate General, Mr. Sven Krausbeh, and Mr. Daniel McCormack from the German Consulate in Erbil. Mr. Krauspah has confirmed the German government's support for our institute with its service to victims of criminal ISIS in particular and the community in general. Consul General assured that the German government provided about 500 million euro to the Kurdistan Region government at the beginning of ISIS attack on Sinjar and that most of the aid was provided to Dohuk because the majority of the displaced people were provided to Dohuk and were housed in displaced camps.

Consul General has confirmed his actual or online participation in prom for the first meal of our Institute graduates on 18/10/2020.
