On April, 20th,2021, Dr. Moslih Duhoki met Dr. Yani Foss, the general director of CABI (Centre for Agriculture and Bioscience International) together with a delegation from KH Company that previously visited the College of Agriculture at the University of Duhok.
The aim behind this meeting was to discuss the project of developing potato production in Kurdistan in collaboration with the University of Duhok, the General Directorate of Agriculture in Duhok, KH Compmany, HZPC Company, and CABI supported by the government of The Netherlands. Dr. Rufael Shilemon Toma, the supervisor of the project, said “Among over 40 projects submitted from Iraq, this is the only project approved.
It is worth mentioning that the duration of the project is five years in which ten thousand farmers will work. This will practically be useful for the teaching staff as well as the students.
