"Iraq-Horizons 2015 – Sow today, harvest tomorrow" A project for the future Deadline for applications of Iraqi trainees 15 September 2011! www.iraq-horizons.com Iraq-Horizons 2015 - Sow today, harvest tomorrow is a joint initiative of the Associaton of German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK), the Federal Foreign Office (AA) and the Goethe-Institute (GI) aiming to foster the intercultural exchange as well as the bilateral business relations between Germany and Iraq in order to contribute to a sustainable reconstruction of the country. The main objective is an advanced training of young Iraqi graduates with business relvant fields of study and first professional experience, in order to establish a network of highly qualified and Germany friendly decision makers in the Iraqi government and private sector. Through this project German companies get the opportunity, to make use of the enormous economic potential of Iraq and to extent their network and build new business contacts. In a "one-of-a-kind" cooperation of language and cultural mediators with the German business sector all Iraqi participants will receive German language courses and get an insight into the culture and the way of life in Germany.
They will also gain a better understanding of how German companies function and how they organize and manage their working processes through individual internships. In 2011/2012 Iraq-Horizons is running for the 3rd time. Previous terms have shown, that numerous trainees stayed in contact with their host-companies and have been employed by or engaged in a business relation with them.
