Prof. Dlawer said; “the full independency of universities is not easily achieved; we need years to reach this goal.
There would be a new framework for universities in which university instructors, students and people of the city will participate.
The framework would be set in the first year and adopted in the second.
Therefore, Kurdistan universities will have their independence supervised by the ministry”.
The Minister ended his speech by pointing out two issues; implementing Teaching Quality Assurance based on student and staff evaluation for which a plan has presented by the Ministry, which would be established next year; and the sending of university staff members abroad for 6 to 12 months to become familiar with the up to date teaching methods and research in well-known institutions world wide.
