Round Two & Three NGOs Management Certificate Program Start at the UoD

The University of Duhok (UoD) recently started its second and third training courses for NGOs Management Certificate Program of local non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The courses are a mutual project between the UoD and the International Relations Office at Duhok Governorate, in cooperation with Seton Hall University in the US.

In the opening speech, Vice President for International Relations (IRO) at the UoD, Dr. Dawood Atrushi, said “These training courses are being held after the success of the first one. Therefore, the university is always ready to work on such projects in order to help society”. These courses are important as they aim to improve the abilities of the staff working at the NGOs which in their turn have a big impact in benefiting and developing the Kurdish society.

The first courses lasted from the 23rd of June to the 19th of July, the second started on the 13th of Nov. and will end on the 7th of Dec. Round three started from the 21st of Nov. and will last until the 14th of Dec. 2011. Forty participants in each training course took part at the Cultural & Social Center. Certificates will be distributed according to fixed criteria.
