A Delegation from the University of Kuala Lumpur Visit the UoD
Within the context of an on going program in the Kurdistan region, a delegation from the University of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia visited the University of Duhok (UoD). The meeting was held at the Cultural & Social Center on the 25th of Oct. 2011. The aim of the delegation’s visit was to introduce the UoD to the opportunities that their university offers which could benefit the UoD’s students.
The UoDs’ President, Dr. Asmat M. Khalid, and the Vice President of International Relations Office, Dr. Dawood Atrushi welcomed the delegation. The meeting was attended also by a number of professors as well as students. During his speech, the UoD’s President concentrated on the good relationship that the UoD had built over the years, with various universities in Malaysia. He added, “Currently, we have some students continuing their higher studies in Malaysia”.
For their part, the delegation expressed their appreciation for the warm reception shown to them by the university. They were delighted to answer some of the inquiries by students on the registration and the acceptance mechanism for Master and Ph.D studies at the University of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.
