The International Relations Office holds a Meeting to Discuss its Projects
The International Relations Office (IRO) at the University of Duhok (UoD) held a meeting on the 27th of Oct. 2011. The reason for the meeting was to introduce the IRO programs to the university’s board, as well as the heads of schools and departments. It also aimed to discuss the developments and the relations that IRO has achieved.
Vice President for the IRO, Dr. Dawood Atrushi, and the IRO’s Director, Prof. Rund Hammoudi discussed with the audience ten basic aspects for the activities that the IRO worked on. Dr. Atrushi elaborated on current and future plans for the programs. He stressed the importance of expanding relations and cooperation with various academic institutes and universities worldwide.
Later, Prof. Hammoudi presented a brief overview on the projects that she supervises. She explained about the project of developing women’s abilities that the university is working on in cooperation with Vanguard University in the U.S. Moreover, other coordinators gave presentations on projects they are currently involved with. The purpose of doing so is to let the UoD’s staff have an idea on the projects of the IRO and how to benefit from them.
