A Delgation from the University Sains Malaysia Visits the UoD
A meeting between a delegation from the University Sains Malaysia (USM) and representatives from the University of Duhok (UoD) took place on the 22nd October 2011.The Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Hassan Amin and the Vice President for International Relations, Dr. Dawood Atrushi discussed with the delegation ways of cooperation between the two universities.
The reason behind the Malaysian delegation’s visit was to introduce their university to the UoD and other universities in the Kurdistan region. In addition they are aiming to offer opportunities available at their university to study different specializations to the UoD’s students. During a seminar attended by the Vice Presidents, a number of Deans as well as professors from the UoD, the visiting delegation presented an overview about the USM. They talked about Master and PhD studies and the importance of scientific research at USM. Moreover, they focused on the importance of scientific cooperation within different universities worldwide.
