The UoD’s President Participated in an International Conference in Germany to discuss the Role of Modern Technologies
The President of the University of Duhok (UoD), Dr. Asmat M. Khalid, accompanied by fifteen Presidents from different universities in Iraq attended an international conference in Berlin, Germany. The Technical University of Berlin (TU) arranged the conference on Information Technology (IT) in late Sept. 2011. The conference was organized with the support of DAAD institute within its projects to develop higher education in Iraq.
The conference dealt with the importance of IT in university programs. According to Dr. Khalid “Important decisions were discussed, decisions on planning and developing IT within the universities systems. In addition, discussions were held on how Iraqi universities could benefit from these modern technologies”.
Dr. Khalid along with the President of Salahaddin University and a representative from Sulaimani University invited representatives from TU Berlin to visit the Kurdistan Region, for talks on mutual cooperation..
