The Second Conference for Planning is to be Held in Erbil
Representatives from five universities in Iraq and Dortmund University in Germany discuss issues for holding the 2nd conference for planning in Erbil. The conference will focus on strategic planning in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq as a whole. The participating universities from Iraq are: the Universitiy of Duhok, Salahaddin, Mosul, Baghdad and Diyala Universities They, in cooperation with ten representatives from Dortmund University, will participate in the conference on 3rd -5th of October, 2011.
The coordination process for the conference is being organized by the NGO group known as the Kurds organization. The Kurds organization is the oldest NGO group in Kurdistan; it was founded in 1993 and is located in Duhok. Mr. Shawkat Taha, the Manager of the organization, said “Expert researchers from Dortmund University will present lectures discussing modern mechanisms for planning for different projects”.
The first conference for planning was held at UoD in 2009, and the UoD, Baghdad and Diyala Universities in addition to Dortmund University took part.
