Graduation Fifteenth of UoD

In an official ceremony, the 15th annual graduation party of the UoD students was held in Duhok Stadium on July 5th, 2010. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Dlawer Ala’Aldeen, a number of parliament members, political and government officials and families of the graduated students. 1405 students graduated in this round in addition to another 139 students gained Master and PhD Degrees.


During the ceremony, the Minister delivered a speech on behalf of the President of the Region and the Prime Minister.


In his speech, the Minister appreciated the role of the university administration and the faculties, and their efforts to enhance the student’s scientific level. He also valued the role of the students in developing their country and society.


For his part, Dr. Asmat M. Khalid, President of UoD, relayed his good wishes to the graduated students and their families.


He also called on the government to create employment opportunities for the graduated students as one of their rights.
