A delegation from Mosul University, accompanied by representatives from the Provincial Reconstruction Team PRT and the Regional Reconstruction Team RRT in Erbil, affiliated with the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, paid a visit to the UoD on the 28th July 2010 to observe and collect information on the UoD experience of opening a TOEFL Centre. The TOEFL Centre at the UoD was opened early this year with the support of the RRT.
Dr. Dawood Atrushi, Vice President for International Relations at the UoD said "the visit was fruitful and we tried to relay the guidelines and steps we went through in opening our centre to the staff from Mosul University". Dr Atrushi added, “There are good relations between the two universities, and with this visit, the staff at the UoD tried to provide every assistance to Mosul University, by helping them collect enough information needed to open their own centre”.
During the visit, the two parties discussed the possibilities of expanding and developing cultural and academic relations between the two universities.
Its worth mentioning there is an agreement of mutual cooperation between the two parties and many of UoD staff are Mosul University alumni.
