Housing Problem Solved for UoD Instructors

The UoD signed a contract with Gurbag Construction Group, the parent company of Avro City Housing Project., and according to the contract, the company will be contracted to build 560 apartments for the UoD teaching staff.
Dr. Ari Adel, representative for the Teaching Staff at the UoD, said,’’ During the first stage of the project, the company will build 160 apartments that will be distributed to the teaching staff by lottery on July 6th 2010”.
Dr. Ari added “The contract is very important as it is going to solve the housing problem for the teaching staff.
We hope that, in the future, a similar contract would be signed for the university administrative staff.’’
It was announced that the government will grant an amount of 10,000 dollars for the non-beneficiary instructors, the Directorate of Housing and Reconstruction would also lend the instructors an amount of 25,000 dollars that will be deducted from their salaries, over a period of 10 years after receiving the apartment.
For their part the registrars for these apartments will be required to pay an amount of 20,000 dollars to the company within a period of 3 years.
