The Deanery of the College of Law and Politics received a delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Cultural and Social Center at the UoD on May 5th, 2010.The delegation consisted of Dr. Amir Alzamali, Adviser for Islamic Affairs, Ms. Krazela, Media Coordinator, Ms. Rose Fallot Responsible for Relations, Mr. Oliver Muller, Assistant of the head of the regional mission in Arbil and Mr. Faisal Bin Salem: Director of the Duhok Office.
The delegation participated in a symposium held in the Cultural and Social Center., which covered many important subjects like “International Humanitarian Law”, “International Humanitarian Law and the Islamic Sharia”, “International Law and Human Rights” and “The History of the Establishment of the International Committee of the Red Cross"
Instructors from the College of Law and Politics, as well as other colleges also took part in the symposium .It is worth mentioning here that the participation of instructors was very effective, with the Red Cross delegation showing willingness to hold similar symposiums in the future.
