The Kurdistan 3rd Conference on Biological Sciences

The Presidency of the UoD will organize the Kurdistan 3rd Conference on Biological Sciences, the three day conference which consists of 15 sessions, will be held  at the Cultural and Social Centre at the university on May 4th, 2010.
Dr. Hassan Ameen Mizori, Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies at UoD and supervisor of the conference, said,’’ Taking part in this scientific conference, will be researchers from the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Turkey, Jordan, Bulgaria and the Sultanate of Oman, who will present 82 research papers in total”.


The conference will be attended by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr.Dlawer.A.A.Ala’Aldeen, Presidents of Kurdistan universities, vice presidents for scientific affairs, directors of scientific centres and UoD instructors and students.
Customary speeches will open the conference, followed by, Dr. Dlawer A.A. Ala’Aldeen, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Regional Government who will present the first research.

This will be followed by Prof. Michelle Bawm, who will present the second research entitled “The use of Genomic Tools for Breeding Tolerant Crops”.
