A Course on Local Community Development in Beirut

Representing the UoD, Dr. Ismail.A.Ali Assitant Dean and Ms Nagham.I.Zeya,an instructor from the College of Law and Politics participated in a seven day course in Beirut, on the 15th February 2010.
The Subject of the course was local community development and it was arranged by a Lebanese organization under the supervision of specialist’s instructors. Participants taking part in the course were from Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine and Yemen. Certain cases and studies were taken as training examples particularly from Palestine and Yemen.
The course dealt with the mechanism of developing communities, starting from the individual through to families, and ending with society as a unit, diagnosing distinguished characters and their part in this development.
It also dealt with the actions of community development in the economic, cultural and educational aspects.At the end of the course all participants were given special certificates on local community development.
The UoD, represented by Dr. Ismail A. Ali, dean assistant at the College of Law and Politics, and Ms. Nagham I. Zeya, instructor at the same college, participated in a 7 day course in Beirut on February 15th, 2010. The subject of the course was the local community development and it was held by a Lebanese organization under the supervision of specialist instructors.
The course dealt with the mechanism of developing local community starting from individuals through family and ending with the society as a unit and then diagnosing the distinguished characters and their role in this development. It also dealt with the mechanisms of the community development in economic, cultural and educational aspects.
The participants were from Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine and Yemen. Certain cases and studies were taken as training examples from these countries especially from Yemen and Palestine.
By the end of the course, the participants were given special certificates on local community development.
