"The Effect of Garlic Powder and Black Sesame Seed"

On Saturday, April 10th, 2010, a Master thesis was presented by Nawal K. Shukri from the College of Veterinary Medicine. The thesis was discussed at the Cultural and Social Center by a specialist committee and was titled “The Effect of Garlic Powder and Black Sesame Seed on Inflammation in Chicken”.
The thesis deals with the effects of the black sesame and garlic powder on germs and strengthening immunity compared with antibiotics and their effects on the performance and productivity in chicken.
This thesis is the first that deals with such a subject. The findings of this thesis are important for the owners of chicken fields who use herbalist as antibiotic to strengthen immunity and increase the productivity in addition to their economic advantage. The problem is that herbalist hasn’t been used as antibiotic in Duhok not to mention Kurdistan Region or Iraq.
The recommendations of the researcher:
- The use of herbalist as an antibiotic and strengthening immunity as well as increasing productivity.
- To aware the owners of the chicken fields of the importance of their usage.
- The use of herbalist as a treatment for other diseases in general.
- Conducting research and studies on chicken to determine the effects of the herbalist.
Conclusions: - The herbalist in chicken could be used as antibiotic in addition to strengthening immunity.
- Herbalist helps increase productivity.
- The black seed and garlic powder could be used economically by the owners of chicken fields to increase the weight of chicken.
At the end of the discussions on the thesis, the committee decided to accept the thesis and awarded the student a Master degree.
