Vaxjo University in Sweden Seeks for Stronger Relations with the UoD

Following a formal invitation, Dr. Dawood Atrushi, Vice President for International Relations at UoD, visited Vaxjo University in Sweden in January 2010.

He announced that the association between the two universities was constantly developing.

The visit which was arranged by Ms. Nazik Najar, an instructor of Kurdish origin at Vaxjo University, was fruitful according to Dr. Atrushi who expressed his willingness to develop relationships with Swedish universities, which showed readiness to cooperate with the UoD.

Dr. Atrushi said “we discussed the possibility of sending 4 students from the College of Engineering to finish their study at Vaxjo University as the UoD requires help for their particular specialization”. There are a large number of students from the university finishing their studies abroad, especially in Europe through the Erasmus Mundus Program which is sponsored by the European Union and the UoD is a partner in this program.

It is worth mentioning here that the UoD has relations with numerous universities in many countries in Europe, The United States and other countries around the world.
