Undergraduate Admission
General Conditions:
- The applicant should be an Iraqi citizen.
- The applicant must be a high school graduate no previous than two years, and he/she needs to provide a copy of his/her official transcript certified by the Directorate of Education.
- The applicant shouldn't have been admitted to any other college or post secondary institution in Kurdistan or Iraq.
- The applicant should have finished high school in Kurdistan.
- A student who has been accepted in the university and then left his study; has no right to reapply for the university or ask to continue his study.
- The Students Acceptance Committee has the right to choose a college or institute for any student who hasn't been accepted in any college or institute due to his/her low grade point average which is not enough for the limited choices he/ she made. In this case the applicant has no right to object.
- The applicant needs to pass a standard medical test with specific conditions for each college.
- Applicants employed by any government agency or institution during his/her study at University of Duhok can only apply for evening courses.
- Admission to any college at the UoD is competitive within a limited capacity depending on the high school score average with specific conditions. Students should make contact with the colleges in which they have been accepted within a week after receiving their admission form.
- A student with an error in his/her admission form should write a letter to his/her college within 10 days after announcing the results to avoid the legal consequences which may cancel his acceptance form.
- The applicant should not be over 30 years old to apply for undergraduate admission.
Admission Requirements :
- An application form filled and certified by the applicant's high school.
- A letter of support proves that the applicant hasn't been accepted in any college or institute.
- The applicant's high school certificate with his/her grade point average.
- A copy of Iraqi Nationality Card.
- A copy of Identity Card.
- A medical test form.
Specific Conditions
College of Medicine, College of Dentistry, College of Pharmacy
College of Medicine, College of Dentistry, College of Pharmacy
- The applicant should have a final grade point average of no less than 85% and no less than 70% in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics from the first sitting.
College of Veterinary Medicine
- Applicants should have a grade point average of no less than 70% in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics from the first sitting.
College of Nursing
- An interview is required from the applicant.
- 25% of the college seats are allocated for male students and 75% are allocated for female students.
College of Engineering
- Applicants should have a final grade point average of no less than 80% and no less than 70% in Mathematics and Physics from the first sitting.
- Applicants to the department of Architecture should not be daltonic (suffer from color blindness) and he/she should pass a specific test given by the college within a specific time frame.
College of Physical Education
- Applicants should have a final grade point average of no less than 60%.
- The applicant has to receive a special form from the college.
- The applicant should not be over 25 years old.
- The applicant needs to pass some specific tests to ensure physical ability.
Department of Computer Science in
the College of Education and College of Science
Specific Conditions - Evening Classes- Applicants must have a grade point average of no less than 70% in Mathematics from the first sitting.
- The applicant should be a high school graduate.
- Applicants should have a final grade point average of not less than 65%.
Department of English in the College of Education, College of Basic Education and College of Arts
- Applicants should have a grade point average of no less than 70% in English from the first sitting.
Department of Law at the College of Law and Politics
- The applicant should be a high school graduate.
- Applicants should have a final grade point average of no less than 60%.
- A student accepted in this department should pay 450000 ID for each year of study.
Departments of Accounting and Business Management at the College of Administration and Economics
- The applicant should have graduated either from high school, commercial school or the Technical Institute from related departments.
- A student accepted in this department should pay 450000 ID for each year of study.
- The applicant should have graduated either from high school or from Computer Department at the Technical Institute.
- A student accepted in this department should pay 450000 ID for each year of study.
- The applicant should be a high school graduate.
- A student accepted in this department should pay 450000 ID for each year of study.
