Student Committees

Student Committees

The Student Committee is a vital part of university life as it allows students to participate in a democratically elected setting.

Elections are held each year to nominate students to represent their colleges, departments, classes and student associations on the College Board.

Student Committees exist in every college as a committee elected by the students of that college. In any college, this committee often has its own room within the college building, dedicated to social and organizational activities of the student body.

Student Committees are run by students independently from the college teaching staff. The aim behind the existence of these committees is to stand for the students inside and outside the college. These committees are also responsible for providing many of different services to students.

These unions generally have similar aims and focus on providing facilities, support and services to students.
