About the DepartmentThe department of Science and Athletic Games was established along with the establishment of this college on March 3rd, 2005.
DescriptionThe department is concerned with introducing the students to the various steps of development of Physical Education. In the later stages, the curricula goes in depth to provide the students with knowledge and experience to be able to master and control these curricula helping them become experts in their specialty. The study system begins mid September every academic year, and it concludes by the end of June. During the length of this system students must sit seasonal and final exams in every class. The department provides opportunities for students in multi-disciplinary research and study based on major disciplines to broaden their understanding of production.
ObjectivesThe department aims at: - Achieving the education goals - Rehabilitation of teachers for Physical Education to serve the athletic movement in Duhok governorate. - Provision of trained teachers to train Physical Education in Duhok via the Ministry of Education and the Education Directorate. - Building the individuals bodily, physically, healthily, socially and psychologically. - Detecting the sporting talents, and perfecting them.
