 About the Department
The department of Commerce and Banking Science was established in 2008. This department submits its students to study for four years to gain a Bachelors degree to work in governmental or private establishments. The students of this department are being provided with all the necessary skills and experience required for their future career. The course of undergraduate study is rigorous and comprehensive, preparing students for the future professional or academic activities in the field they have specialized in. The scientific courses in this department are balanced between the curricula and the business world. The combination of these courses has become something of great importance. The department includes lectures that impart an overall knowledge of the basic principles of Commerce and essential details. The student salso study in common with their specialty; computer and Kurdish language. The main goal of the department is to provide specialized undergraduate and graduate students to fulfill the region's needs for academics or specialists in Commerce and the  business world.

 Description
The department of Commerce and Banking Science is concerned with introducing the students to the various steps of development of Commerce and Banking Science. In the advanced stages, the curricula goes in depth to provide the students with knowledge and experience to be able to master and control these curricula  helping them to become experts in their specialty. The study system starts  mid September every academic year according to the University calendar and it concludes by the end of June. During the length of year, students must sit seasonal exams and final test in every class. The department provides opportunities for students in multi-disciplinary research and study based on major disciplines to broaden their understanding of production.

 Objectives
The main objectives of the College are-To prepare specialists which are ready scientifically and practically for governmental and non – Governmental sectors. - Creating ambition and desire for students towards development. - Giving students an understanding of major problems  in Commerce and Banking Science and to explain the theoretical and practical models related to the subject. -  Also to provide appropriate education not only for students but also for those who wish to become professionasl in Commerce and Banking Science to contribute to the improvement of their society. - To fulfill the needs of  society according to the market needs by providing qualified staff, as well as fulfilling the needs of the government institutions by  educated staff who are able to work in a variety of fields and government offices
