About the DepartmentThe department of Theater was established in 2008. This department submits its students to study for four years to a gain Bachelor degree. The students of this department are provided with the necessary skills and experience required in their future career. The course of undergraduate study is rigorous and comprehensive, preparing students for the future professional or academic activities in the field they have specialized in. The department includes lectures that impart an overall knowledge of the basic principles and essential details regarding the field of specialty. Along with their own speciality subjects, the students must study; basic computer and the Kurdish language.
DescriptionThe department is concerned with introducing students to the various steps of development in Theater. The curricula goes in depth providing students with knowledge and experience to be able to master and control these curricula helping them become experts in their specialty. The University year begins in mid September, and concludes by the end of June. During the four year course, students must sit seasonal exams and final test in every class. The department provides opportunities for students in multi-disciplinary research and study, based on major disciplines to broaden their understanding of production.
ObjectivesTheater is a discipline of creativity. The Department of Theater offers undergraduate students a comprehensive academic program that provides a blend of theoretical and practical courses supplied by rigorous academics ,who providie students with the skills of possibilities to explore and gain professional knowledge in Theater.
