The department of soil and water sciences was established in 2000. Students are awarded BS.C degree in soil and water science after four academic years.
Post-graduated student program started in 2001
The department provides students with physical chemical and biological information related to soil, water sciences and plant. As well as, understanding their inter relations, encourage ways to protect soils from erosion and deterioration, Conserving soil fertility, adapting most convenient and efficient methods of irrigation systems, application of soil amendments restore water resources in Kurdistan region and protect its usage from toxins and pollutants.
