Since UoD is established, it is committed to play an active role in fulfilling the community needs therefore UoD found it is imperative to establish within faculty of Medicine school of Pharmacy beside school of Medicine to improve health services in Duhok province and have accepted students for the academic year of 2009-2010 .
School of Pharmacy provides the most updated education in both theoretical and practical fields of pharmacy.
One of the main goals of the School of Pharmacy is to graduate competent pharmacist with advance medical and clinical knowledge and skill in order to enhance the active role of pharmacist in the management of patients and improve reputation of pharmacist among the society and medical community.
After completion of five years of study the graduate will acquire a Bachelor degree in Pharmacetical sciences that will make them capable for working in every health facilities.
The current curriculum courses adopted in this school is for Pharm D student and is the same curriculum in the two other colleges of Pharmacy in Erbil and Sulaimani Universities.

The practical education will be at the health facilities of the department of Health in Duhok Governorate.
