Associated with the Faculty of Agriculture, the bureau's main goal is to improve and enhance the agricultural sector, including the plant and animal products in Iraqi Kurdistan.  The first step in doing this is to provide scientific and agricultural advice to farmers in the region.

Furthermore, the faculty of agriculture and forestry has many other activities like holding ornamentals and flowers show in last spring 2011 by the department of Horticulture and many commercial companies took part and it was successfully arranged and directed.
By the way, the first Agricultural Scientific Conference is going to be held at the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry during next spring (11-13th April, 2011) and it is expected that many scientists from worldwide will participate in this conference with their latest research papers. 

The direction of field works has been re arranged in the faculty by establishing the units of administration and organization. The faculty has a modern sport hall for basketball, volleyball and handball. This hall is directed by specified persons to provide the best sport services for the students. By the way, the whole projects, parks, nurseries and orchards are directly managed by the section of projects which has a manager and several employees.
